Happy new year – 13 days later! I will be sharing pictures from my amazing trip to Nashville and some MUST DO’s if you ever travel there tomorrow!
For now, I’m talking winter style. It’s January 13th and winter finally decided to show up (YAY!) so I’m sharing two different looks with you below to help you get from day-to-night or for just some different outfit inspirations!
As you’ve probably noticed from my Instagram, I am obsessed with my Hunter boots for… well, honestly, all year round wear. But I do wear them a LOT in the winter. As a rule of thumb, if you’re interested in Hunter boots, wear socks with them or buy the sock inserts, they are not insulated so your feet will freeze!
*If you’re interested in Hunter boots, consider getting them second hand if you don’t want to make the investment! I bought these on Poshmark and paid about 40% less than they are retail. They came in great condition and I’ve been super happy with my purchase!
Here is the same look with two different show options:
I find that I can make just about any outfit work with Hunter boots. For some reason I feel like they are super versatile, I dress them up and down. However, sometimes if I have a work meeting or am heading out to dinner/drinks after work I like to have a back up handy. Basically if I’m not wearing my Hunter boots then I’ve been wearing my suede Dolce Vita booties – and I’m not even a little bit sorry about being a repeat offender, ha!
It’s interesting to me that people have super strong feelings about the fact that you shouldn’t wear suede in the summer, but don’t really seem to care at all about the fact that the winter just kills your suede! To avoid “making a murderer” of your suede booties (sorry, had to!) definitely winterize them! For all of my suede boots, I brush them at the start of the winter season to get any “leftovers” off of them and then spray them with a waterproof spray. I spray my boots once and then go back thirty minutes later and spray again. Just let them dry overnight and your boots will be SO much better off! If your boots do get ruined by the time winter is over, take them to a local cobbler to see what kind of work can be done to bring them back to life!
YAYYYYYYYY it’s finally snowing!!!!!!
