As an adult living back in the area where I grew up, I’m often excited by any opportunity to work with young people. Growing up in a small town can have it’s challenges and I often found myself feeling like I could not wait to get out. Now that I have the opportunity to have my dream job in the town where I grew up, and follow my dreams through a personal blog, I know that it’s not about where you live that can make you feel stuck. It’s the lack of opportunity to follow your passions. You can make your dreams come true, no matter where you live, if you just believe in yourself to do it. YES, 100% corny. But it’s so true.
If you’re a local, I invite you to join me on Tuesday, December 6th! I will be participating in a FREE workshop at Oxford Central School for entrepreneurs. The panel is put on by The Oxford IC2, a community initiative led by the Oxford School for the purpose of connecting students, educators, and citizens to innovation and entrepreneurship. I would personally like to congratulate Oxford for believing in their students and offering a series such as this. I am so honored to have been asked to speak!
Although the event is held at the school, it is open to the public, so please join us! Here is your invitation!
